Kyocera Communications International (map)
Hi Everyone,
One of the things we've wanted to do for awhile was a pretty entry-level how to get started with Android type of event; with a small number of people. Basically, for people who want to get started with Android but have no experience. That said, Kevin was able to get a room at Kyocera this Friday and it can accommodate 12 people.
If you're interested in getting help with installing the Android SDK on your laptop, and the ADT plugin for Eclipse, we will be there to assist you. If there's time left-over we may be able to walk through a quick "Hello World" type example project just to help you get your feet wet as well.
I have to limit the attendance for this one to 12 people given the size of the room. We will be there from 6:00-8:00 so if you get stuck in traffic we'll try to hang around to help out. There's no "talk" per-say so if you show up a bit late we'll still try to help.
Also, I'll try and have Eclipse on a thumb drive, because it's a pretty big download. But to save time, it would be appreciated if everyone who shows up already has the most recent version of Eclipse on their laptop.
Thanks,
David C Sainte-CLaire
I liked this event...it was very helpful and informative.
