First of all, congratulations for getting Google folks to San Diego! Looks like you have more planned. Yesterday's event was good, but I was hoping for something more in-depth and covering stuff we can't easily look up. I guess it was great as an intro to app engine though. For future, please see if you can focus on a specific area in depth or have a discussion rather than a presentation. E.g., pool questions/thoughts from the group in the days ahead of the meeting and discuss them with the Google rep. Or just pick a topic like best practices that is not easy to find in one place. How about collecting ideas from the group members? Also, please add time to network. It was great to see so many devs, and I was hoping to get some time to interact. We're looking for two Java devs (App Engine/GWT expertise), and I wish I had a chance to talk to a few folks. May be next time.
